Ok so I just recieved my Tricomin in the mail...my first hairloss product (for what it's worth)...and am expecting my spironolactone cream to arrive any day now. Now I was wondering, what are the "rules" to applying this stuff?

Is it something that has to be applied everywhere you want it to be effective or is it like something that's absorbed into the scalp and spread out?

If I apply it a couple hours before showering will that decrease its absorption/effectiveness? Should I spray it before or after using a hair product?

And should I spray it before or after applying the spironolactone?

Hey dude. I don't think this is something that 'spreads' so you should just spray it all over, or where you need it, that's what I and I think most people do. Spray it before using a hair product definatly, if you mean styling products etc. And also definatly use it before the spironolactone creme!

Spraying is wasteful. Use a dropper.
How exactly? How big of an area does one drop cover, and do you just spread it around with your fingers after you apply a few drops, or what?

no it doesnt inhibit dht and its not going to grow back your temples im afraid its more of a good addition to other things like minoxidil. you may want to have a look at spironolactone or something if you dont want to take finasteride.

Use it as if it is minoxidil. I simply move the dropper around my head (I'm diffused) while applying a light pressure on the dropper. Some other users spread it further with fingers but I don't bother. The key is not to have it on your hair but where it is needed most.

I don't use minoxidil. But minoxidil is absorbed into your system and has an effect on the general area where it's applied, where as tricomin doesn't and has to be applied everywhere you want it to affect. So don't you have to spread it around more?

Another thing- I've heard differing opinions on how often you should apply tricomin. Some people say only every other day. Would that be enough?
