Anyone using the "new" Proxiphen?

Dr Proctor has changed Proxiphen once again and the "new" Proxiphen is pure white and very nice and smooth. He is using a new vehicle because the older one is no longer available. I like how the new Proxiphen goes on. I don't see anymore precipitate chunks in it so far. I was just wondering if anyone else is using it and likes it as much as I do. I am sure you will when you get some.

The delivery vehicle has changed. Everything else is the same. So that is why used the word "new". It does not look or feel the same way as before. His email is on his website drproctor.com. If you email him just make sure you state in your title that "this is not spam".

I should be getting my shipment in soon :D. Dr.House, are you applying once or twice a day? Does it smell?

I also have appointment with dr.P on the 20th but im no sure if im gonna go or not, as it would cost 85 bucks. On the other hand there are a few questions I would like to ask him :)

You only need to apply it once per day. It has no unpleasant smell. I would keep your appointment. I would gladly pay to see Dr Proctor and see what he has to day about my hair. However, I don't live in Texas.

We have changed our Proxiphen vehicle recently. The main reason for the change now is because our old vehicle is no longer available.

Knowing well ahead of time we were going to need to make the change, we carefully considered a number of vehicles before settling on the present one. In addition to a little better appearance and "feel", it seems to solubolize our active ingredients a little better. So, there does not seem to be as much precipitation out during storage and shipping (which is what causes the graininess).

However, in line with our policy of sacrificing cosmetic considerations to efficacy, we will probably just add more active ingredients and/or mess with the forumlation so we get a bit of precipitation. Reason is that skin penetration of drugs is better when they are at or exceed their limit of solubility. Probably not a big effect, but every bit helps.

I wish Proxiphen wasn't so expensive; I would love to try it one day.

Much of the cost is because we really load up Proxiphen with active ingredients to keep our response rate as high as possible. Not everyone needs all this.

The most "growth for the money" we provide is NANO shampoo, particularly strung out over (say) 3-4 months by using another shampoo first and/or leaving it on more than a minute or two. Back off if you get too much irritation or itching.
If cost is a consideration, try it first. It might be all you need, particularly along with minoxidil, Prox-N, finasteride or whatever.

Dr Proctor, if one has used Proxiphen over one year, would it still be more effective using it every day still versus every other day?

We don't know. But this may well be the case. For years, I have used Proxphen every other day (more or less ) alternated with NANO Shampoo, again, more or less. It seems to have maintained me pretty well. BTW, I started medical treatment about 1984 and still have most of my hair.

wow Dr P on the forum!! awesome.

I just have a quick question if I may...

I'm using minoxidil with both retin-a and azelaic acid in it in the morning and then Prox-N and proxiphen at night (with a top up of just straight minoxidil)

.... a while back there was what I thought to be a misconception that retin-a and that copper peptides/SODs or the active ingredients in your products might react badly with retin-a....

Can you advise on the above at all as I wouldn't want to be applying potentially conflicting products.

thanks Dr P.

BTW - like the new formula really... can feel it on the scalp after application - (just wish the aussie exchange rate didn't suck so bad!)
