I'm using the non-ppg version and wonderered why upjohn dindn't come up with glycerin as a vehicle ? Nobody would have an irration and everybody could use it and they would raise their profit......so there must be something negative .....less effective ???

If you 're using a non-ppg version with good or bad results please let me know, so I know that I'm not wasting my time.

I have asked this question about 10 times. No one seems to know for sure. It would make sense would it not?

EDIT:

The only thing I can think of is that minoxidil must slowly be saturated on the scalp to function at it's highest level.

I emailed UpJohn about this a few months back and got this horrible wordy generic response that basicaly said nothing.

The generic version is much better. Yes, it may itch a bit but it is much more thicker than Dr. Lee's stuff and seems to give the impression that your hair is much thicker. Keep using it because the itching soon stabilises.

yep the itching is bad on generic version but certainly makes the hair thicker , im using folligen when it itches and after one hour the itching goes away quickly

Becks, have you tried Lee's regular? I've no doubt about its effectiveness. Rogaine/generic drove me mad with flakes and itch too, but lee's regular minoxidil is no problem.
