ive posted this before on the shedding file but had no response..So to recap I am on the big three as it is obvious I have male pattern baldness as I am currently a NW3. I have been on minoxidil 5% BID for 9 months and really have not really seen any benefit but a bunch of vellus hair on the hairline. I have been on finasteride 1mg QD for 6 months now and ever since the third month or so I have been shedding hairs that are attached to one bulb. Literally like 3 hairs on one bulb. I probably lose like 100-150 a day and notice I lose mostly shorter hairs. I fear that finasteride has caused Telogen effluvium but I would hope not. As far I can see in the mirror and pictures from baseline nothing really has changed visually which I am grateful. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would appreciate any input at this point on whether I should continue treatments

I get that but only after a weekend of junk food or if I’ve been taking Propranolol.

Hey man, I’ve had it since my mob sped up. Haven’t ever been able to stop it and I have constantly lost ground bad regardless of what treatment I try.

You have excessive sebum production and there’s really nothing besides like spironolactone or Cypro that you can do for it..

I have those occasionally. One I had a three hair bulb. I've been on finasteride three and a half months.

I don't think it's anything. It's just a once in a while thing and it probably happens but we never notice if we're not concerned about hair loss.

I’ve had them for five years straight. I constantly get 2 hairs stuck in a glob of sebum. Three is rare for me

Is it sebum that causes this? Is it common to male pattern baldness, if it is I never knew that.
