Tried H&W liposomal finasteride. Had a ton of vellus hairs popping out within a month, could've worked wonders. But had breast pain, couldn't sleep with my chest down, and could feel little nodules under my nipples.

I am on both oral and topical finasteride. Topical seems good for maintenance, not so good for regrowth.

Np, i'm using H&W Topical liposomal gel 0.25% EOD.

The one I am getting is .5% and I am also on a topical spironolactone with a very weak estrodial (i know there is an estrodial that is supposed to be much better)

I had good decent response with the spironolactone but no miracle...I am hoping the addition of the finasteride will be stronger response for maintenance.

I might start to derma stamp too at some point soon, lightly.

It was 0.1% but it can be a bit annoying to apply so I used 2ml once every two days. Instead of the 1ml per day people usually use.

I wouldn't recommend gel form if you aren't scared of side effects. It's easier to apply liquids.

I had read somewhere that finasteride was not good for women. I have already taken spironolactone alone but at 150 mg to my hair does not fall any more and with a huge tired

I believe it is a liquid..not really scared of sides because Im woman so it may be mild sides..dont know I got NO sides from topical spironolactone..oral spironolactone made my period stop cold turkey I had to go off it.

This one is liquid and it is .5%...now I am nervous like this is too strong?

Only thing I know of is that it is bad if you going to have a child..Im not going to have kids I am 45 not looking to do that now or in future.

I use topical spironolactone it helped BUT still get some shedding I am hoping the topical finasteride will stop it if not I am going to go on oral spironolactone and birth control in Fall.
Oral spironolactone alone stopped my period from coming down and was a little dangerous so I will have to take it with a birth control pill like Yaz.

I do not know why the article said that for women fina was not good. The author did not specify it.Spironolactone gave me breast flows and chest pains. this is sides effects of spironolactone. My doctor stopped me it completely. Spironolactone can give breast cancer

I wouldn't worry too much about the .5% dose. Finasteride has a flat dose response curve plus when I spoke to the H&W people the sides are uncommon even at 2.5%.

I am not sure about non liposomal vehicles though.

The Liposomal helps it from going systemic?

Wow Nadyia I m sorry this happened.

You can try to use the pills to make a topical if you are desperate and want to try?

I continue androcur and estro which are a thousand times more effective than spironolactone.i don't have sides effects ,only libido near to zero.i dropped the dosages for this reason

According to their skin permeation study:

"The effectiveness appears to be equal to oral Finasteride but serum levels are 1/18th that of the oral route."

I just think it was a half assed study and if they have a product readily available they should at least measure the scalp and serum DHT levels before and 1 month after continued use.

I agree, it's like taking an aspirin if you are on anti-biotic.

Glad if you are doing well (other than libido--that sucks)

Provames is the estrogen cream?

Do you apply to head/scalp or just anywhere, or as directed?

You think Provames is equal or better than birth control pills for hair, versus the blood clot side effects?

Thank you Nadia for information.
