I have not used revivogen in about 2 weeks. It was causing too much irritation and I switched to something else I have used in the past and had good results with. I no longer have irritation and my scalp feels great. So basically yes I'm giving up.

Sorry to hear about your irritation. In my case, nizoral three times a week helped get the irritation down to almost nothing, but I still had this slight tingle or itch sometimes. That's when I started using the thickest moisturing conditioner I've come across, Dove Moisturizing Conditioner. I use it everyday, and my scalp feels fantastic. No irritation whatsoever.
Before you sell, you might try this.

Urban,
Sorry I have not been on the website for a couple of days. I have two bottles left, but I think I might try and use them up. Slowly work my way back into it maybe every other day. Again sorry!

Jimmy,
Switched back to kevis.

yardbird,
I used nizoral too, which did not seem to improve anything. In fact I think it made my condition worse.

I'm 25 years old. I've thrown in the towel on spironolactone, cu peptides, and revivogen due to irritation. I tried everything to get the irritation to go away. I've switched back to kevis (uses hyaluronic acid and mucopolysaccarides) I also take flax seed oil. This is what I was doing when I first began coming to this website and had good results. I quit using it at the time because kevis is considered "unproven" around here. So I decided to try other things that were more proven (even though kevis does have alot of research to show that it is effective aganist male pattern baldness). The stuff considered more proven did not work out for me. How is the revivogen going for you?? You are taking finasteride too, right??? I have alot of concerns about finasteride, but wish that I could take it. I had horrible sides on it :( .

hey vipe, well...a couple of days ago i buzzed my hair with the clippers and was astonished to see that my scalp was orangey. i spent time each day exfoliating my skin with my nails to get rid of it. you should have seen the amount of stuff that came off my scalp (along with a ton of hair) it was brutal. i stopped using revivogen for about 4 days and my scalp felt great. i've stared using it again, and the irratation has started once again. i'm using only .75mls on my entire scalp per day. don't know what to do? Finasteride at .30 mgs a day, but still have a very low sex drive. Still shedding lots of hair but probably less than if i wasn't on these treatments. and i have to have piece of mind that it is working on the miniturization process cause i can't see results. i'm 24 by the waY....what to doo...what to dooo???

I used it for 3 months not much time, but my hair and scalp looked and felt great. Shedding dropped too. I have gone back to this because everything else has failed. I really don't know how much the stuff will help in the long run, but it is the chance I am willing to take I guess?? At least I'll go bald with great looking hair for awhile  . I've tried everything and really have given up hope. :-x I simply don't know what to do. Nothing really seems all that great in treating hairloss. Propecia is great for a period of time until it eventually stops working. I just wish we had the cure! We all know there is more to hairloss than just DHT and we don't really understand fully the process of hairloss and that suxs.

Revivogen was causing your scalp to peel??? Never had that happen mostly I just had this pain in the *** itching and burning sort of sensation. It drove me freakin nuts until I dropped it. It was a pain in the *** to apply too and I could not see my self applying it for any lengthy period of time. I'm not really recommending kevis to you, but if you want check out their website http://www.kevis.com. Read up on the research on the website or do a search on google or yahoo or something. Look up hyaluronic acid and mucopolysaccarides. I also have a 15 page research paper from kevis on their new product (HSOR), which you will not find on the website. If you want that info send me a private message with your email address and I will send it to you.

Other than that Jimmy I honestly think I'm screwed. I can't stand losing my hair and not really being able to do much about it. Drives me nuts every damn day. I'm sure it does to you too.

hey viper, i have lots of questions for u. i think i remember u telling me that you are a diffuse thinner...how noticable is it? do u keep it short? mine is noticable under bright lights. also, do u think that revivogen was just not for you? u seem like a smart knowleding man, do u think that revivogen has potential? .... last question, how do you document your sheds? how can u tell the difference from one day to the next?

Viper, have you used the Kevis acceleratos stuff? You're supposed to use it like shampoo, twice a week. Do you know much about it? I have used it a few times, and it makes my hair look better, but I have no idea if it's doing anything to combat hair loss. It's much less expensive than the Kevin topical stuff, which is very costly.

MVPSOFT,
Yes I do use the accelerator. Basically what it does is it helps remove sebum from the scalp. It is supposed to remove calcium build up on the scalp and surrounding the follicles. In the lab in Italy they basically found this residue (includes calcium) that was impeding topicals from getting into the follicles (mainly kevis). It is supposed to help improve the efficiency of the topical. I have not really read into the research surrounding that product so I don't know much about it. I guess take it for what it is, but do not expect much from it. However, they have a new product out called HSOR, which basically goes after DHT changing its structure and rendering it useless within the dermal layers of the scalp (dht fighting enzymes). I have read the research on this. However, there are no clinical studies to support its effectiveness although it looks pretty damn good on paper. The accelerator does make your hair look alot thicker. I like the stuff.

Jimmy,
My hair is light blonde and under certain lightings I can really see my scalp. I try to keep it cut short although I prefer to have a little longer hair. My hair is much longer than it usually is and looks good due to the kevis. Kevis really makes the hair look thicker so I am able to grow it out a little longer (i'm talking cosmetically thicker not actual thicker hair yet). Revivogen does have potential!! The studies are there to support using it, especially those fatty acids. I just could not take the irritation anymore. As far as sheds go I really try to make an effort to not be doing things like counting hairs, etc. It is tough to define a shed. The amount of hairs you lose each day is so random that it is tough to say if your actually shedding. One day you may lose 20 hairs and the next day 50 hairs. Pretty much if your shedding hairs at a rate that seems completely abnormal to you, for an extended period of time, you probably are going through a shed. Tough to tell though.
