I just would like to find a doctor around the D.C. metro area (MD, VA?). I live in Northern VA. As you guys probably know, it seems like most doctors know nothing about hair loss.

You'd be surprised how little doctors know. And how many times they're literally reading from scripts -- like one of those telemarketers, or even a newscaster reading from a teleprompter. The hard part is finding a well-read, competent and knowledgeable doctor. So maybe someone out there even has a really good recommendation.
