I took accurate for eight months and I believe that it has caused loss of overall hair density, even at the sides. But I had minor thinning before that.

I have been off it for a couple of months and my density is still low. I don’t think it cause major issues but I believe that it has contributed in speeding up the process.

It causes lack of vitamin a, which can lead to hair loss. Blood tests to determine whether you are lacking in vitamin a or not are a first step.

actually accutane is in some way extremely potent vitamin A, so no, it doesnt cause lack of vitamin A, it causes it's surplus
thing is - i read lots of stories from other guys, for whom accutane sped up balding or kickstarted it

that is exactly what happened to my brother, he started balding hardcore after taking Accutane -- lucky for him he was smart enough to hop on finasteride at a very young age (24-25 I think). He still has a full head of hair and a low hairline til this day -- every now and then he gets a buzz cut with the #6-7 guard (on the clippers) meanwhile the #3 does nothing for me :(

f*****g yes, it happened pretty quickly after I started and my derm was convinced it had to be accutane balding and not male pattern baldness because it happened so quickly and my shedding was so aggressive. He took a scalp biopsy and it turned out to be male pattern baldness. I just refuse to believe that accutane is completely free of fault.

Yes. Had the thickest hair before taking accutane. Got accutane induced DUPA hair loss because of it.

I did lots of research and it turns out accutane causes permanent hairloss in many people, both men and women. Wish I never took it, because I had mild acne in the first place.

I used accutane at about 16 years old and began barely noticing that I was balding around 17 I think. That would suck if accutane triggered it early but it was in my genes anyway
