I went and bought some spironolactone. 50mg pills and I'm going to take them twice daily, so 100mg daily. I plan to take this with finasteride and 5% minoxidil. I am well aware of the potential sides.

I have read some success stories like this one from a user named KWIH from hairlosshelp who took 100mg oral spironolactone and had what he considered to be a "complete transformation" though the pics no longer show.

I have read other success stories though also some from people who took 100mg or more and got no results to speak of.

So, anyone here on oral spironolactone? If so, for how many months, what else do you take and what are your results?

I'm not taking estrogen.
Right but you would be effectively halting your body's production of testosterone. This might not sound like a bad thing since you're already a fully developed male but testosterone production is vital to the health of men of all ages. I did a quick google search on what testosterone does in the male body:
  • Testosterone is necessary for normal sperm development.
  • Maintains muscle tone and promotes muscle enlargement under stimulation with exercise and weights
  • Regulates bleeding and clotting via effects of thromboxane A2 receptors
  • In the brain, androgens can influence human behavior, and change the structure of the brain, and induce a sense of wellbeing, motivation, exhilaration and euphoria
  • Increases libido
  • Increased aggression
  • Regulates cognitive and physical energy
  • Inhibition of fat deposition and the ability for the fat cell to store lipids
If none of that sounds like a problem then feel free to do what you want but to me it just sounds like an awful idea. I realize you can probably order spironolactone pills online without a prescription but you are pants on head retarded if you start this regimen without the guidance of a qualified medical professional.

I've been experimenting with it for a couple of weeks now. 100mg off the bat was too high a dose for me. Awful sides.

50mg seems to be tolerable. Going to do 25mg twice daily for a while and see how I go. Hoping to get up to 75mg eventually.

Also on finasteride with zero sides so potentially I might be able to handle any spironolactone sides. I'd rather have hair and a lower libido than no hair and high libido.

I'm not interested in being a body builder and have never been one to care about muscle.

Although it might the a risky treatment the payoff can be good if you can avoid the sides which I am thus far.

What sides did you get from 100mg?

Was difficult to maintain an erection and had to really try and put in a lot of effort.

My body overall just felt weird. I stopped for two days and everything went back to normal, now back on the 50mg

Please be very, VERY careful with oral spironolactone. That stuff is a primary drug in male to female transitions. It WILL give you all the bad sides that you hear people getting from finasteride.
