Anyone Have Luck with Dutasteride 0.5 MG Once a Week?

I'm 36 and I have been taking Finasteride, on and off, for over a decade. I haven't had any sides, except for initial ball ache. My hair loss has been very gradual and it's not as nearly as bad as what a lot of you have experienced. I'm only at about a Norwood 2.5 and have lots of very fine hair, all over. It still bothers me enough where I would want to try something else though.

So I was wondering if taking Dutasteride 0.5 mg, once a week, would be safe and maybe effective? Should I continue to take 1.25 of Finasteride/day too or just Dutasteride?

Dutasteride is controversial as it isn't officially sanctioned for male pattern baldness and could have a greater chance of side effects. Nonetheless, if you've never experienced any sides with Finasteride then you might be fine with dutasteride.

I don't know what the recommended dose for dutasteride is, if there is a recommended dose.

The best thing to do is to go and talk to a doctor - preferably a hair expert, not a regular GP who usually know very little about male pattern baldness and would probably dismiss dutasteride out of hand.

I think I'll give it a try at 0.5mg/week and keep taking Finasteride daily. Thanks
