I am completely new to all of this.... but have been battling with thinning hair since my sophomore year of college. At first I attempted to just grow out my hair as best as possible. Epic fail.... then I started wearing hats as often as possible with Fibers if I had to be dressed up. That's the thing I have a job that will not allow me to wear a hat Monday-Friday. The fibers were less than desirable and certain days it looked OK on others it was very fake looking. My thinning pattern is very odd..... I have the receding hairline but my back crown is totally in tact and my sides are completely full. I am balding right in the center between my receded hair line. So imagine the recession then a balding spot right in the center. I am 32 years old now and will be getting married in September of this year. That was the tipping point because the thought of all my wedding photos and my hair so thin made me sick. My partner told me "What ever you want to do.... and whatever makes you happy." He is 100% supportive. So I have an appointment with a little maw and pop local hair specialist. I did the consultation with her and she told me that shaving my head would be a waste and over kill and she didn't think that was needed. She suggested a clip in unit with tape or glue in the front. Does anyone have experience with clip ins? Most forums I have read have been people who shave their head and apply with glue every couple weeks.... but my back and sides are OK. She told me that I could take it off nightly for sleep which I am totally OK with... and on weekends I could wear my hats as I have grown quite fond of them. But I am so freaked out thinking of the clips and how it might look fake...... or move around. My appointment for the cut in is this Friday. The lady told me that it would be wonderful and I would not regret it but rather regret waiting so long to do it. Any advice or tips would be helpful. I will post a picture of my thinning hair as of a few days ago. The second picture is with fibers and longer hair but I was never able to completely fill in that spot right up front in the center....
