Anyone have a second finasteride shed in their first year and still get positive results?

Basically: started finasteride 1mg on the second week of January, had a huge shed after a few weeks, didn't bounce back from it and have looked really thinned-out since then, and as of the end of September, I'm having another shed, less aggressive but much more stretched out. It's hair that has variable diameter (when viewed with the naked eye). The drugs are branded Propecia bought from Boots (UK pharmacist chain) so are legit. I'm not using any other hair loss meds. Has anyone else stayed shedded-out for so long, over 10 months, then had a second shed, and then got back to at least baseline? It'll feel like a miracle at this rate if I get back when I lost in January; I need the regrowth of what I lost early on to have my hair cosmetically viable again.

(I always intended to add a few more items to my regimen, but I needed to make sure that finasteride works OK for me first as a foundation, it'll almost be like building a house on sand otherwise.)

I started in December and had a long shed after a couple months and am currently having a much smaller one. Just stick with it.

yes, i shed several times in first year, it was quite depressing. now 18months in things are stable and better than base line!
i know its difficult but try and not worry too much about it, let it do its thing. give yourself until the 18month mark and then reassess.

I've read from recent posters that they didn't start improving properly until the 2year mark!

I've been using minoxidil foam 5% for 12 weeks and NOTHING. The so-called "proven" hair loss treatments are utter crap.

Never had any positive response from finasteride either, even at over 18 months continuously on the drug.
