Anyone get facial bloating from finasteride?

It's either from finast or from drinking, but either way, my face looks fat. Any way to counteract it?

Yes, I use minoxidil as well, but only once a day.

I take finasteride, and I used to take finasteride and minoxidil, For the entire time I took minoxidil my face looked really bloated. I quitt minoxidil and the bloating went away. Excessive drinking can cause water retention as well, I notice when I drink on a regular basis my hands get swollen. Have your hands looked swollen as well?

my hands are fine. I weigh a bit more, maybe I just have a fat face... But I use minoxidil 6% + once per day.

You can't tell for sure. Several people have had facial aging and fat gain on finasteride also. Try dropping minoxidil for a week maybe and see, if it reflects a change in your face.

But gaining weight is a side effect of finasteride. Are you sure the fat has only come to your face?
There are also some people who have had only facial bloating.

I don't believe anything, but I don't think all the people are bullshiting and making this side up.

Think about it... most people who take finasteride also take minoxidil, minoxidil has been known to cause water retention, so while some people attribute there water retintion to finasteride, it's actually from minoxidil, correlation not causation.

I'm more concerned about people who are still suffering after giving up all the drugs and accepting baldness.

I get facial bloating on both finasteride and minoxidil (increased when taking both drugs). It is due to fluid retention and everything goes back to normal by either discontinuing the treatment or taking a diuretic.

Don't think so.. I tried epilobium and lignans but that worsened it.
