Anyone Experience Painful Ejaculation On finasteride?

I started taking finasteride about 20 days ago after putting it off for about 3 years due to fear of sides.

I've not noticed any of the sides I was scared of (lack or horniness, brain fog etc), nor change in the rate at which I am losing hairs.

However, this morning I felt quite a sharp pain upon ejaculation. I've never experienced this in my life, and am naturally curious at the whether this is related to finasteride? (I ran to google straight after and have found a fair few people who noticed this) Has anyone here experienced this at all?

I'm hoping that it's something that will slowly go away, or worst case, will at least go away if I stop finasteride already.

Welcome any thoughts! Orgasms are the only thing I like about life! Can't have them being ruined! lol

Hello... I can't say if your pain is related to the finasteride or not, but I can at least share my experience.

I'm a long time hairloss warrior who has been using minoxidil and nizoral for years, and just added in finasteride about three months ago. During the first month, I got some sides... nothing horrible or unmanageable, but noticed a slight decrease in the stimulus to hardness ratio in the pecker whenever I was getting busy or trying to rub one out. This was actually followed by a few weeks' period where I felt like I was hornier that sh*t and woke up with a boner. After three months, this has all seemed to "even out" and I feel like I'm back at some sort of a baseline situation.

I guess my feedback is... yes... this stuff does do sh*t "down there". Not sure how long you've been taking it, but if its just been a short while then maybe give your body some time to adjust to it? This is just my anecdotal feedback.

I know that people sometimes accuse others of 'blaming finasteride' but i'm honestly very confident that this issue IS related to finasteride based on what i've read as well as the fact that it'd just be a massive coincidence. I have also started too experience very watery semen. I feel as though this painful ejaculation is SOMETHING to do with the effect the finasteride has on the prostate.

I have checked reddit (tressless) and i've spoken too a number of people who had the same painful ejaculation issue. From what I gather, it tends to resolve itself in about 2 weeks. I certainly hope so.

I've decided to further cut my dose down (to 0.5mg every other day) for now.

I didn't think much of it but I think this may have occurred in the first few weeks. I also had a HUGE libido spike in the first month. After this it was back to normal and I didn't notice anything. No semen issues however, in fact in that first month I think it drastically increased and my orgasm quality felt amazing.

I had issues first week, loss of morning wood and brainfog
But after 2 weeks it dissapeard and I can now ejaculate twice a day. I have a f*****g erection every morning
