Hey all, I've had alopecia areata patches for seven years now, I've never lost my hair completely but I've lost almost all the hair on the top of my hair. Its been on-again-off-again since and usually just gets VERY thin. I've been to four NAAF (National Alopecia Areata Foundation) Conferences and I find them VERY helpful, although I'm a teen. Its very interesting to watch...the first day most have their wigs on and by the last day, its a sea of bald heads. I highly recommend this conference to everyone. It has activities and support groups for people of all ages whether they have alopecia or not. The next conference is in Tampa, Florida in the summer.
