Anyone else losing hair but w/ no visible thinning strands?

Whenever I look at hair in the shower, I hardly ever find vellus hairs. In addition, upon inspection of the more thinned-out areas of my scalp, there is certainly a huge loss of density, but I can't find any miniature follicles. My hairline looks more like a low- to mid-density transplant than an Androgenetic Alopecia-affected area.

Anyone else experiencing this?

yes i do have the same scenario as u. I seldom find vellous hairs It is because of the shedding which gives an impression of thinning hair. SInce male pattern baldness messes up hair cyling and cause premature hair to shed before its due.

still on treatment and shedding has decresed quite a bit.

Yeah, but the thing is, it's also been bugging me, since in the areas that I've watched closely for the last few months, I can have normal-lenght terminal hairs but no sign of thinner hairs regrowing in-between. It's just an odd phenomen IMO when you consider that hairs are supposed to gradually lose their thickness.

Well i been suffering from male pattern baldness for the last 3 years. and i noticed my hairs were the same thickness strands as it were 3 years back. MY male pattern baldness is more about shedding than thinning strands. Anyone knows the explaination?

Thought male pattern baldness is about shedding and then the hair grows back thinner gradually right?

Chewy, are you thinning in the typical Norwood fashion?

I am Norwood 2 1/4/
Temples gone.slight diffuse in the frontline (maybe age related receding?) and a small part of vertex.
MY male pattern baldness is more like shedding of medium length hairs rather than thinning of strands. Anyone can explain this why or what from my male pattern baldness will take in the future?

I dont have an intensive history of family male pattern baldness. Only my dad had. MY uncles still have hair. my mum has thick head of hair. and grandad is a NW2.5 till his death at age 55+

Overall my male pattern baldness is very slow and gradual. More ilike it is maintaining the same last few years. Overall my situation stands in the gray area between Age related diffuse and male pattern baldness.
