Anyone else find that minoxidil liquid cosmetically thickens hair?

Hey guys, I've been on 2% minoxidil for a couple weeks now, and am under no pretense at all that it's working yet, but I do find that it significantly plumps up my hair. I think it just gives the appearance of thicker hair strands, or, more like the "feel" of thicker hair strands. Anyone else have this experience? How does it compare to the foam in this regard? I am thinking about switching to the 5% foam soon, as the liquid is making my scalp flaky, even though it doesn't contain PG.

I noticed the same thing with the foam. I think it's simply the residue coating your hair and clumping it together, like a mouse or hair spray effect. After you wash and dry it is when you notice the true density of your hair. You can always try thickening solutions. I like the Celluplex one on Amazon. Rub a little through your hair when it's damp and let dry and it actually does make your hair strands a bit thicker.

Eh, I find the opposite. My hair looks like ****e during the day with minoxidil on it, in the evening when I wash it off before bed I get to enjoy it a little bit. Seems denser too.

Think I'm the one that told him about Celluplex, which I use everyday.

Won't do anything for baldness. Will thicken your hair.

Currently I take thirty percent Minoxidil with Liquid Finasteride, and it's working.

My hair is now as thick on the top, and my temples are growing in (not that great though). My bald spot on my
vertex is almost gone.

Just got a haircut with a #6 on sides, back, and a #7 on back. Used to have a huge bald spot. Now I don't.

Also, I'm in my forties. Not having any shortness of breath or low blood pressure. Used Minixodil for over twenty years.

Personally, I don't think it's dangerous at all. Maybe not effective for some men, but not a danger either.

Have you noticed any other cosmetic side effects? Like unwanted hair growth, or more importantly the very anecdotal "collagen depletion" in the face leading to wrinkles or bags under the eyes? This is what I am scared about, because I believe I don't have the circulatory system side effects

yes, celluplex is pretty good. I have been using that particular one for a year I think. Before that, I used "hair lush" or something like that. Worked equally as well. Don't get it all over your scalp. When your hair is damp, just rub a little between your hands and run it through

Where are you getting this topical?

are you referring to the high concentration minoxidil compounded with finasteride? Murray Ave Apothecary.
