I am 22 and started losing hair around 20/late 19. I have an older brother who is 24 with no hair loss whatsoever and a younger brother who is 19 with no hair loss either. My moms side of the family all have lots of hair. My dad is balding but didn't start until 40s. Is anyone else in this situation. Kind of ridiculous, and propecia isn't slowing the loss (after 2 years). Kinda sucks.
Sucks having neither of my brothers going through this either, while I am the only one. Probably had such a slim chance of going bald this young, and man it is not fun.

Can't help you. My father is the only one of his brothers with NW7, I am the only one of my cousins who is not a NW1.

I have one uncle who's balding, maybe a nw4 and had all of his hair from his early 40s, that's it. I'm currently 17 , thinning all over, approaching a nw2

Yes, I started balding at 23. My dad is in his 60's and still a nw1. Afaik my uncles and grandparents on both sides aren't / weren't bald either.

I wonder, is it just our generation that's going bald faster (in our 20s?) I knowI can't make generalized statements like that, so if anyone has any data from older generations, please share.

My dad went bald in his 40's - 50's to Norwood-6. Absolutely no recession in his 20s or 30s. Mom's side of the familly = no baldness. My uncle from my dad's side and all his sons = no baldness.
