Would be interested to hear from people who have actually made this choice.
You wanted to improve both, but after discussing the donor area and the plan with your surgeon, you decided to focus on the front.
Did that feel like enough of a change, or did the crown still bother you just as much?
It's easy for someone else to say “do the hairline first.” They're not necessarily bothered by the same things you are. Some people care most about how their hair looks from the front; others hate seeing the crown in photos.
Looking back, are you happy with what you prioritised? Has your opinion changed since seeing the result?
