Im hoping to get back to at least a solid thick norwood 2.5 or even 2..possiable? with just minoxidil or do I need propecia too..maybe start off on low dosage like .25mg..anyway..apprciate any opinions..just concerned 26 year old who worries about hair well all the time..plus im addicted to my hat I think..peace

First, what you seek is very very possible.

What you want to use will get you there.

Don't use .25, it's too dangerous because it may be pointless AND IF it does work, you will most likely get sides anyway, if you are of that 2%.

.5mg mininum and 5% minoxidil and it's all gravy

Now f*** off and go treat.

dosage

your points are well-taken, I wrote Dr. Lee with the question about taking 0.25 of finasteride and the side-effects versus efficacy. His response was logical, in that, if it works for you at that low of a dosage, you MAY VERY WELL have the same side-effects...as you would with 1 mg, etc.

Now, cost wise, if you are on minoxidil and want to see if propecia works for you, you can always augment your regimen with it. Since the studies show that 0.20 is almost as effective as 1 mg, I believe it is worth trying..but I would also believe that side effects are just as possible (even though they claim they are only 2 percent anyhow).

Again, not saying there aren't people who take it yet have no side effects, but there is always that possibility, even with a low dose.

Hair looks good man. Let me ask you something...does wearing your cap hurt at all or cause a little bit of hair loss? I just bought one for those days where I don't have time to style and am in a rush. After wearing mine for a few hours my head just starts to hurt and I am afraid it might be breaking a few of my frontal hairs.
