Ive read on here a lil about possible spring time release. I thinks its polichim or polichem something like that. Any news or thoughts on it ? Im still soldiering on with oral finasteride taking a full dose 4-5 times a week. But a "non systemic" and effective alternative would be amazing !

Polichem's topical finasteride was rumoured to be starting phase III trials last I checked.

Best guess: publication early in 2017, and sales of the lotion later in 2017.

According to Pavi, they started phase III in October/November of 2015. So my timeline is correct:

That is a very good sign. There are very few hair loss treatments in phase III right now. That is an advanced stage of research.

maybe it was spring time for phase 3 trials... Basically im trying to adjust to finasteride as i have zero sexual sides and then just stay on it forever. But if my body just cant handle it im trying to take it until i can switch over to this or maybe CB or something

What's the Best way to reduce dosing to avoid shedding or any detriment to hair? Ive dosed everyday the last 9-10 days. But i think i need to stick to 4-5 days a week and about 5mg total a week. Should i do like 3 days on and one day off for a week or two, then do like 2 days on one day off for a week or two. Then basically do every other day from then on. Does this sound like a good plan? Does it make sense what im asking?

1) I'm not a doctor.
2) I'm nearly certain that there are no studies on irregular dosing.

It's probably best to allow your body to reach an equilibrium. Keep the dosing regular. If you're switching from one experiment to another in time spans of less than a week you're not really learning anything. Pick a regimen, stick to it for three weeks, then see what happens, then try something else for another three weeks.

It sounds like the issue with you is that the ~70% DHT inhibition is too high. The issue as I told you before is that it's very hard to reduce this number, since 0.05 mg of finasteride behaves very similarly to ~0.50 mg of finasteride. You'd have to do something complicated, like dissolve the pills in a liquid (find out which liquid works for this), and then take like ~0.005 mg per day, for example dissolve 1 mg of finasteride into a 1 litre of water (if water works), then take 5ml of that water per day, which is 1 teaspoon.

yeah i gotcha, There's just something "off" about my side effects... I have an anxiety disorder and since i have ZERO sexual sides and feel fine other than the pelvic and lower back pain. Part of me feels There's something there from the finasteride for sure, but maybe all the stress and worry kinda "pushed it over the edge" so to speak. Hopefully ill get more answers at my urology appointment on the 22nd

And thats what ive decided. Im dosing everyday except Tuesday and Saturday for the next few weeks and see how it goes. I also just got a prescription for 5mg Valium twice daily and that really helps the pelvic pain since its a muscle relaxer and anti anxiety medication
