I was a frequent poster on hairlosshelp in the 2011-2015 timeframe. I stopped posting and checking the forums around 2015 and was surprised to see hairlosshelp is gone.

In my Mid-20s, I began to notice that my crown was thinning and my hairline was receding.

After using finasteride for a year, I quit due to side effects. At that point it was hard to tell how finasteride was working; however, I certainly did not lose much hair.

In 2012, I started using Proxiphen, nano and nizoral. I have maintained that regimen since. Currently, I use Proxiphen 3-4 times per week, Nano shampoo 4-6 times per week and nizoral 1-2 per week.

Although my results are nothing dramatic, my hair basically looks the same as it did a decade ago which I will take as a win.

Anyone else still use Proxiphen? Let me know your story/results. I feel like there aren’t many of us out here anymore.

Most of you are too new to remember the battles between Bryan Shelton (RIP) and Jacob on this forum over proxiphen. Felt like it was an every week discussion.

Thanks for sharing your experience. What Norwood are you now? Have you experienced any sheds on Proxiphen?

I’ve gone from a Norwood 2.5 (w minimal crown thinning) to Norwood 2.75 (w minimal crown thinning) over the last decade. Obviously, I still think that the big 3 is the way to go, but if you have side effects like I did, it’s worth a shot.

I’ve been on these boards for a while, what was your user name? How long did a container of proxiphen last?
