Any Opinions On Topical Mixtures (minoxidil, finasteride, Etc)?

I was curious about buying the Minoxidol lotion they have on Medical Wellness Center. I'd probably get the 12.5% minoxidil that has .1% finasteride. It also has progesterone .25% which I'm curious about. They have a lot more mixed in too.

Has anyone ever tried these kinds of lotions and what were your experiences?

I would be interested to hear too. I am surprised we don't hear more about topical finasteride since Hasson and Wong claims it works the same as the tablet but less sides.

I would certainly put surgical gloves on when applying it. Progesterone can make you grow breasts. Best off keep it away from the kids too.

this guy had good results (better pictures in the comments) from the topical. I think the H&W formulation is way overpriced though, you can make your own by crushing up proscar pills into a fine powder (cheaper way of getting more), and mixing it with propylene glycol, some alcohol (regular not isopropyl), and water. Measure out the dose so that it's not more than 1%, I heard of people having side effects at 2.5% (which would be 25mg per mL).

people in the U.S can get it from the italian pharmacy(shipped to your house, after prescription from an American doctor) but like I said it's all marketing. You can make your own at home and it won't be that different from what they're selling. The prices they're selling it at just aren't worth it IMO.

I see. I have some finasteride sitting around I never got the courage to take so I'm wondering if I could crush that up and add it to my minoxidil.
