Not that I ever saw. You would think for 100 different news sources saying male pattern baldness is cured we would hear some kind of follow up. Its funny I never remembered seeing any studies, pictures, or really proof of any kind this PGD2 actually does anything in a human in any of these news sources. Not sure how this is a cure if its not actually proven to do anything yet, but who knows I guess.
At the very least it gives researchers a new angle to explore into what causes male pattern baldness much like propecia did with androgens and DHT.

Just look at this article as example of the media distorting the truth to get people to click the article. The title completely contradicts the first sentence of the whole article and I mean the huffingtonpost is not some no name source.
2020 i would have to retort with did you ever read this article because if you did you must have missed the majority of it. Notice these key pieces where they mention in lab mice would mean it was not shown in humans.

title
"Breakthrough Male Baldness Cure Could Be On Sale Within Five Years"

first sentence:
"A clue to male baldness has been discovered by a team of scientists, bringing fresh hope for follically challenged men. "

"The study was based on tests on lab mice, which were bred with high levels of PDG2."

from the official study:

We show that PGD2 inhibits hair growth in explanted human hair follicles and when applied topically to mice.

Oh okay sorry. This article linked in this post does not say that. Also there could be differences between cultured hair response and in an actual human. Im not sure the immune system would be the same and we know the immune system plays big role in male pattern baldness though it not fully understood.
I have high hopes for this discovery and want it to work or lead to something more. I just saying its a big jump from this discovery to a cure as this article claims.

It says asthma drugs have that. So we should just take asthma drugs?

FUTURE asthma drugs that are currently in testing will work by blocking CRTH2 receptor which is exactly what we need to do to treat male pattern baldness....
