Does anybody know if St John's Wort causes hairloss or interacts with Finasteride in some way?

Only recently it was reported that it acts as a mighty fine anti-depressant, much better than believed before.

Just got a bad case of the winter blues at the moment and this stuff is readily available pretty much everywhere.

Thanks in advance :)

Apparently it's useless for just about anything.

You should try Selegiline (Deprenyl) instead for "winter blues". It's a selective MAO-B inhibitor which raises dopamine levels in the brain among other things. It also lowers prolactin levels which is a good thing in case you're on something like Finasteride.

It is said that St.Johns wort can interferer with some drugs, but some times it just speeds up how fast they are digested.

I took St. Johns wort recently for about 3 weeks, and it did not have a negative effect on my hairline, and helped with the blues...5-HTP is something else you can look up if you decide against it.
