Using the Costco Minoxodil 5% liquid since mid-July. Nt's now mid-January so been at it for 7 months. I wish I could say I hit 2x a day morning and night perfect, I have missed some days here and there but pretty consistent.
I was putting it only on a spot towards the back of my head as the top of my head, while thinner, wasn't looking that bad. After reading that a lot of folks put it all over all thinning areas, not just that "bald spot" in the back, I started using my finger to rub the beads of liquid on most of the top center of my head where it was starting to thin. Probably been doing this 2-3 months. I can't say for sure if the bald spot in the back is going through regrowth, it doesn't look worse but also doesn't look better I don't think. I will also admit I washed my hair with Nioxin almost daily before my night application but I'll stop that now after reading.
All that said...the shed...it's just awful. 7 months after starting the product and I have no doubt that my head looks a lot worse than it did when I started. It may be coincidence but after years of mostly maintaining, not seeing a super huge loss, I have seen a HUGE increase in the thinning especially on the top main central areas of my head where I have been applying the minoxodil for around 2 months.
So...The shed is real!!!!! The top of my head looks just awful and I'm really seeing thinning, more than ever before. I'm hoping some of you have some positive shed stories who used the liquid minoxodil and came back from it. I'm really starting to worry after reading posts that I've damaged my head and hair to the point of no return. I'm hoping that the top of my head is just reacting to an early shed since I had been concentrating the application to only the back of my head until the last couple months. But wow does it look bad.
Funny thing is I don't notice a lot of errant hairs though maybe a lot are coming out in the shower and I just don't notice. But boy does it look bad.
Please someone tell me there's hope this will get better! Did anyone else go through this and come out the other side?
