Hey guys!

I'm quite young and have spotted hair loss really early, it is going into the same pattern as my brothers and fathers before they lost their hair.

I'm just noticing a receding hairline and slight thinning at the sides/front of my hairline. I'm going to order some Kirkland Minoxidil, and am going to start using Nizoral shampoo.

I was wondering if anyone could advise any anti-androgens that are effective and will not cost me a bomb (not propecia etc).

Or do you think that Nizoral is good enough of an anti-androgen for someone who has not experienced a lot of loss?

Any feedback is appreciated :)

Hmmm this is a lot more expensive and I am from the UK so ordering abroad would cost me even more.

Anyone else got any feedback?

...yes pick a topical anti-androgen over minoxidil especially if you are just in the early stages of hair loss. minoxidil doesn't stop the dht that causes hair loss.

How much does it cost to ship to the UK?

There is a women's version of the same product:

Women's Minoxidil 2% Azelaic Acid 5% DHT Inhibitor Thinning Hair Loss

or the Men's version:

Men's Minoxidil 5% Azelaic Acid 5% DHT Inhibitor Thinning Hair Loss

They include more natural DHT blockers in their formula.

If you look at the UK Amazon website the minoxidil/azelaic acid costs 60$ or 38 british pounds.

You can buy the minoxidil + azelaic acid off ebay for 18quid.

In terms of other anti-androgens, I personally don't think there's any good ones other than finasteride. You could try a Saw Palmetto liquid and azelaic acid after using a scalp roller?

Like ripple-effect said though, you're better off just using a topical DHT inhibitor rather than going through a shed cycle with minoxidil.

You should still shed even on topical DHT inhibitors. I don't think it's as disastrous as minoxidil can be. From my experience it seems like more of a healthy shed. The fine hairs are pushed out and replaced with thicker and more healthy hairs.
