So we know the irritation from DHT causing our follicles to swell and cut of blood supply is what ruins our hair.

We have a fair few products internally lowering DHT levels, and a lot topically that claim to lower DHT in the scalp.

Why are we lacking products that target the swelling? I would imagine they would be safer and easier to produce.

Tofacitinib (aka Xeljanz) should help.

If you like natural products, aloe vera gel is antiinflammatory, also liquid wax of jojoba.

Ive heard about that but dont think it has anything to do with the anti inflammatory.

They are not strong enough to reach the follicle, let alone effect the DHT induced inflammation. There is evidence to suggest Taurine internally can slightly reduce swelling/shedding but I had no effct from
it when taking it previously. We need a new anti inflammatory hair loss focus drug to be made. It would benefit from much quicker results.

Yes it does. Tofacitinib is used to treat arthritis.... an inflammatory condition.

tofacitinib would be too expensive to use and don't know how you would access to it? I have got a bottle of bethamethasone which is a potent antinflammatory agent as a scalp ointment, however, I wouldn't bother going through the effort of applying it- if it had positive effects with regard to hairloss surely these would have been discovered by now.
I notice that there are a wide range of shampoos with salicyclic acid available-this is another anti-inflammatory however it works though another mechanism-though inhibition of the cox enzymes- this mechanism is interesting as I remember reading that one of the prostaglandins was found in higher conc's in the scalp of bald men- cox enzymes produce prostaglandins
