Another sign of male pattern baldness?

We all know about the itch.

I've noticed something else, although I can't be 100% sure it is related to male pattern baldness. If I run my hand through my hair in an unnatural direction (against the flow in which my hair normally lies) I can feel pain at the roots of my hair. The reason I think it is related to male pattern baldness is that I can only feel this pain on the top of my head and my crown, where I've started to thin.

Anyone else notice this?

I have noticed this as well. I noticed it early in my male pattern baldness days (almost 2 years ago now) but don't notice it anymore.

one possible reason for the pain could be dry scalp.....Yeah i had dry scalp during my early teens and preteen days...it usually hurts when i go out into the sun...

during my late teens, i began to have dandruff and oily scalp....I think the oil has got something to do with male pattern baldness....maybe its a trigger....

The pain is associated with Telogen Effluvium aswell.I guess it affects any type of hairloss.
