Have you guys seen Shawn Mendes recently? I was watching VMA and he's receding badly. He's always had widow's peak, but it's clearly more receded than it used to be. He also has longer hair to cover it. Btw his dad is a fullhead.

Not possible to really tell where he's at with the long hair, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's still a Norwood 1/1.5. Some recent pics with his hair up seem to show that his hairline is basically even except for the widow's peak. It's the temples that you want to watch for.

Bieber's hair is definitely on the way out though, I feel bad that it hit him this fast.

Good catch, maybe you're right. It could just be a maturing hairline that didn't exactly settle in the most ideal spot. My hairline has basically been like that for at least the last two years with no additional recession, so maybe he won't suffer any more loss if his dad has a full head of hair still. I think the dad's hair is always the biggest risk factor despite the myth about your maternal grandfather giving you your hair. All NW6 and NW7 men seem to have equally bald dads.

OK, I'm done if 5 years ago someone told me that at the age of 21 I'll be sitting at home watching other people's hairlines I would have laughed XD

His dad's hairline is lower than his :/

Yeah, my dad actually has a better hairline than me too, it bums me out, but if I stay where I am I'm okay with it I guess. I don't think he'll ever go past maybe Norwood 2.5 though, especially not with all the cosmetic options available to the rich and famous. A quick review of some famous totally bald dudes (JK Simmons, Billy Joel, Bruce Willis, etc.) shows that their dads are all totally bald too, so that's what makes me think a bald dad is big trouble.

I read somwhere that anybody can get a mature hairline regardless of your family history. I wonder if that's just bs. I mean my maternal grandpa is nw0 at 80 my dad nw0 at 55 his dad was slightly receded at 65 and yet I have already lost some hair from my temples and I'm only 21

His dad has all his hair. Its just a slight maturing hairline with absolutely no diffuse thinning, this dude will probably be bald at 60 or 70 minimum, no big deal.
