Hello there everyone.
I just joined this forum to get opinions by different people, since italian one aren't always great with that.
The last forum where I've been used to write just ignore most of my questions..
so let's get started.
I'm a 23 years old guy from Italy, and there's much to write about my hairloss, but I'll try to be short.
I first noticed it when I was 20,due to an old man who told me that I was going bald...but it sounded meanless since I look like my dad who hadn't male pattern baldness..
So I took old pictures of me,where I noticed this change in just one years or so...since when I was 18-19 I had no problems...
I also noticed that I've always had a high hairline.
Plus,I learnt that there are many things in life which can cause hairloss:Stress,Anxiety issues, bad alimentation
3 things in my life I carry on since I was a child....stress and anxiety problems came out after my dad's death due to cancer...
since I was 8 my life has been full of stress and sadness due to my family problems...
Also, growing up the life make you get more problmes related to school and social life...which can only make worse other problems....and this is my case...
The bad alimentation is part of the problem I guess....having lived eating only junk food...and ignoring healty food at all...
I can't afford to a specialistic visit now...since I have no job....
However,the question is
Can long periods of stress and anxiety problems with bad diet make start a Telogen Effluvium so great to emulate somehow male pattern baldness?
I'm gonna like few pictures, some of them got ome lines to let you see the change I got in one year or so,and the yellow lines indicate the zone where I feel less hairs

I know that the quality isnt that great, but should be quite fine to show out my problem.
Also, forgive me if my english inst perfect and very clear

I dont think that is Telogen Effluvium. Looks like an male pattern baldness pattern with receding hairline and diffuse loss on top.

Stress is not the main cause.

You're receding in the classic "M" pattern that is indicative of androgenetic alopecia. Hint: Androgens.

Even if you go to a spa everyday and eliminate all signs of stress, you will still lose hair/not grow it back.

The good news is you're very early in the balding process. So minoxidil and finasteride is your only options at the moment.

Actually the only things im using are pumpkin oil pills and some biotin, and honestly,I still finding it strange to see a sudden change in just one year, casualy after a long and hard period full of stress.
Also I havent been receding any further so far,if mine was that kind of male pattern baldness people get at 18 or so, I should have got some problem at the vertex as well, but nothing,it's ok.
I noticed the density change mostly after I started to be obsessed by this problem, spending most of my time every day looking at me in the mirror and feeling worse day after day, making my stress more and more great.
Plus...I almost refuse to use finasteride and minoxodil...
and however, Norwood 3 ? oh C'mon man -_-... if we have to use it,it's 1,5-2
May you post some picture of Telogen Effluvium in men?

I'd say Norwood 2.5, you're about the same as me. You're definitely not 1.5. 2 would be generous.

It's not Telogen Effluvium. Telogen Effluvium does results in random thinning or random spots of hair loss.
Male pattern baldness has a different pattern, more specific, temple recession, forelock formation, some thinning, sometimes a bald spot on the crown, the back and sides remain thick. Your hairloss is definitely male pattern not telogen effluvium, your back and sides still look thick and unaffected

Get finasteride ASAP, try for 6-12 months then add minoxidil if you want more regrowth.

You're on your way to be a NW3 and lifestyle choices don't have a causal connection to male pattern baldness, but may be a contributing factor. Don't believe me? My brother is a NW2A and does triathlons and marathons and is a food conscious person--one of the healthiest and most active dudes I know. In contrast, I spend most of my time on my bum eating chips and I am receding in the same fashion as him. Go on the Big 3--if finasteride is a concern for you then just try OTC minoxidil.
