Am I Too Late To Start Any Treatment?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm trying to get some advice.
I've been using Safeway Brand Minoxidil 5% for about a week and I've taken pictures of my crown and I'm starting to think that I might be too late to actually do anything about it. I've been balding for about 7 years now since I was about 19 or 20. I've posted a picture and like I stated before, I have no idea if it will do any good or not. My hair looks greasy because I put the Minoxidil in about 10 minutes prior, lol.
Thank you.

You should hop on finasteride to slow down future loss and continue to take minoxidil. I'll be honest with you, you have a very large bald spot in the back and it is unlikely you will be able to regain all your hair, however with finasteride and minoxidil you may be able to prevent further loss. It will probably take one or more hair transplants to restore hair coverage density to the crown of your head, if you are willing or can afford the procedure. Best of luck.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I do see that. I guess there really is no point in using minoxidil if I'm not going to be able to regain an immense amount of hair. Halting it won't do me any good because it just looks bad right now. Might have to suck it up and shave it off.
