Some background on me - I'm 29 years old, like a NW2.5 but I have a NW4-5 crown (it's thinning in the crown to mid portion, the crown to low portion is still very thick). The upside is my hair texture is very thick and very wavy so it looks like I have decent hair now. My donor area is extremely thick/sense. I'm getting surgery done in 4 weeks and I'm almost positive it will look like I have pretty damn close to perfect super thick hair when all is said and done. I'm getting 3500 grafts which should net me around 10,000 hairs (doctor said I have lots and lots of 3-4 hair grafts)
the problem is that I've been using finnasteride for 6 months and I dunno if it's giving me side effects. My sex drive is still absolutely ridiculous (I can masturbate 10 times a day if I want to) and my semen is still thick/healthy but it seems like I'm struggling way more to get a full super hard erection (although I can still get very hard if I'm extremely aroused). What's problematic for me is I haven't had sex with a woman in about 10 months so I dunno how I would perform. Before i started using finasteride, I would get way way more hard around a real woman than p*rn so it's possible all this is in my head. I'm also not getting morning wood much anymore.
Anyways, if I do this surgery and decide in a few months (when I finally have sex with a woman), that I need to stop using finasteride, does it make the surgery idea really dumb? What are my chances I can maintain my current hair with just rogaine and nizoral shampoo?
On other side, even if I lose a lot more hair next 10 years, if I get another transplant with say 4000 grafts - that will give me roughly 21,000 hairs up top which I can still get a decent illusion of density because of my extremely thick, coarse, wavy hair texture so should I just do it? I just hope that I am not going to go NW6-7. Even if I get to a NW4-5, 20-21K hair up top will give me plenty of coverage.
My other option is I keep using finasteride and cialis in combination. I've been able to get very hard using cialis but I'm worried that wears off in 5-20 years and then I can't get an erection naturally anymore
