So about 2 months ago I get obsessed with the idea that my hair line is receding and now I'm becoming more and more convinced that it actually is. My dad lost his in his mid twenties and I'm seriously worried I'm losing mine, I'm 18. He didn't do anything to prevent his so hopefully I can see some results. I was wondering if people on this forum think I am receding and if so what I should do about it. Its constantly on my mind and its really bringing me down. What treatments are best and how do I go about getting them? There is some redness around the hairline and I don't know whats causing it.
Thanks for anyones help in advance.

Those photos are hard to tell, based on the one with the top of your head it does look like your temples are starting to recede. Could you get a better picture of your hairline that shows the temples?

In the third pic you can see a lot of tiny, whispy hairs in your hair line. Some people without male pattern baldness have these as well, though it's kind of characteristic for men with early male pattern baldness. I think it's starting though you've catched it in an early stage so there's still a lot to save.

How should I go about saving it? And how would I get hold of the stuff to do that? Sorry I'm completely new to this. I live in the UK do you know where I can get access to this sort of thing?

well, if you are certain you can get either finasteride or dutasteride from something like alldaychemist or inhousepharmacy.vu <-- i use that one. you can also take Ru5881 or S5 cream, im unsure of these two and their effectiveness cause i made the plunge into finasteride and 2 months later i decided i may as well go balls to the wall and bought dutasteride since then. boots also offer treatment where they give you finasteride im not sure which brand but since we live in jolly old UK it is expensive as fkkkk.
these are your only options in reality anything else will either turn you practically into a female or simply just won't hold off the inevitable(I.E using just minoxidil)

however looking at the photos im unsure of your age and whether you are indeed actually losing hair? if you are pretty young id probably stay away from finasteride / dutasteride since you might not be fully developed
