Am I losing hair or does this look fine?

Here about a month ago I had long hair on one side of my head like a punk rock hair cut. Well I went to a barber here recently I didn't notice anything abnormal at this time even after he cut it. After a few days I started notice my hair was beginning to get a little thinner and my scalp was visible at the back of my head towards my crown. And sometimes there is a couple spots on the side of my head that reveal a little scalp. I will post some pictures, I am a guy and I love my hair this really concerns me. I mean people tell me to get over it, but it's hard too. And I can't afford to see a doctor or anything or even get the medical treatment. I have however picked up some biotin, and mane and tail shampoo.

Hard to say without knowing more of your hair background - some people have bigger cowlicks back there anyway. Has it been close to being like that always? Is your hairline and overall thickness unaffected?

The vertex looks a bit thin, but it's hard to know without past pictures. Part your hair with your fingers in other areas of your scalp, compare the density with the vertex area and you'll know.

Biotin is an okay supplement but the treatments that really work are here : finasteride, minoxidil, ketoconazole shampoo.
Make sure you're balding before you start using any of this.

I mean four of those pictures were when it was wet, over all my hair is thin only when wet or if I like lay on one of side of my head for example when I lay down. The next morning I wake I will have thin spots here and there on my sides but my hair line seems to be fine. It's not receding and it's not thin my hair is pretty thick. I am basically worried with the back, I can't really see a dermatologist or hair specialist because there's very few in my area you see. But here is a recent picture I just took an hour ago, this is when it's dry. But no my hair has never been this close, I mean I have wore long hair all my life basically and it start doing this until 2 weeks ago. But I have bleached my hair 2 times this year, and I have dyed my hair over 30 times in my life. But everything else seems thick, but I noticed I have been shedding a lot here and there. you do have a pronounced swirl, I guess you can say. However, you hair is thick as can be. Sorry we can't rule out hair loss at this time, but clearly you should not worry yourself. If you start to notice a loss in density anywhere on top of you head, come back and we'll take it from there. Until then, feel free to enjoy an awesome head of hair!

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, take the same pictures every six months / every year to see if it gets worse but it should be okay.

Sorry but It does look like you could be thinning, if your hair never used to be that way then im afraid it could be male pattern baldness. For now Id just keep an eye on it and dont worry too much, you say you cant afford treatments but for the amount you spend on biotin and mane and tail you could quite easily pick up some finasteride.

Damn that really sucks, I mean when its dry its thick as it can be except for the back on my head there is a slight thin/bald spot. But thanks man for letting me know what it might be, anyways I am trying to worry about it. What's finasteride? Like finasteride?

As I said just keep an eye on it for now as it really is too early to say for sure.. if you do notice any changes then at least you caught it early and the sooner you start treatments the better, maintenance is always much easier than regrowth.

Yeah finasteride is finasteride.
