30 years old. Can't tell if I've always had the weak temples or if I'm being paranoid. I guess I need to get a hold of some of my childhood pics.

Here is one crappy pic. From this alone, do I look like I may be headed to a Norwood 2??

You are already NW2. But NW2 at 30 is pretty good and you don't seem to have crown thinning, so maybe you are lucky and are a slow receder

Is it possible I may stay a NW2 into my 40's???

Should I start taking drugs right now?

some people are born with that hairline
it could also be a mature hairline as there seems to be no sign of minituarisation
my cousin has a similar hairline that has not moved for at least 7 years (his earliest pic on fb)

So what am I? Basically a NW1.5 ???

One more pic attempting to show the hairline. The shadow cast by my pinkie finger is about where hairline on my temples start, with some stray hairs below it.

Your hairline is very similar to my own, and I believe its a NW2, some might call it a NW1.5, but at the end of the day it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

The main point is that, yes there is a slight recession, its no longer a clean NW1, if it were NW1 the hairline would go straight across and not slope slightly upwards at the corners.
no one can know how far and how fast it will recede or if your hair is going to still more or less this way for several years. I personally doubt you have aggressive hairloss and you ll probably retain most of your hair until your 40s, at worst you ll become a NW3 by 40.

Its your choice if you want to try medication, would you prefer not risking med side effects (supposedly side effects are mild and not a big deal for most guys), or would prefer to better the odds that you ll keep most of your hair?

Look everyone, a privileged Norwood 1!

When was the last time you acctually contributed instead of complaining. No one on this forum is privileged

To op i think youre a NW2 but in order to tell if its male pattern baldness we need pics of the crown and better pics of hairline

Thanks for the advice guys.

Crown is still pretty dense as far as I can tell.

Not sure I want to be bothered with drugs at this point. But I will definitely monitor the situation and if it starts receding farther I will throw everything I can at it.
