Am I Having Diffuse Hair Loss? Is Yes/no, Am I A Candidate For Hair Transplant?

I'm 35, male. My hair started thinning in 2016 (not genetic). Started minoxidil 5% (not finasteride, for reasons), without much success. Had two PRP sessions in 2018, and the second time the doctor told me that the hair density has increased a bit from 98 to 112 where ideally it should be 180. See the photos attached, one of them was with full hair before the hair fall started.

So I'm considering hair transplant, although I'm continuing with minoxidil as well. But two doctors refused to do hair transplant, as I don't have certain distance between 2 hairs in a specific area on my scalp. So my questions are: 1) do I've diffuse hair loss? 2) If yes, is there no chance I can do a transplant in the thinnning areas? Thanks!!!
