Im not worried about going bald in my lifetime because eventually most men do if they live long enough. Im worried whether im going to lose it in my 20s - 30s tldr: should i start worrying about hairloss? what norwood am i? should i take minoxidil now?

5 years ago my teacher talked about receding hairlines being a symptom of early baldness, i didnt worry about it that much cause i thought hair transplant was a miracle cure already. I just found out yesterday that this isnt the case and now im panicking. Im torn whether i should start taking minoxidil to slow it down or not. But i havent noticed a change in my temples in 5 years, probably because i didnt look at it that much. I pretty much kept it unkempt.

I have really really thick hair but i found out via google that it has nothing to do with preventing baldness. That the actor from House M.D. has thick hair then got bald blah blah. No one in my relatives has early MPD although their hair do get thinner by the time their really old.

the right temple(on my side) is the most receded and is the most bothering part. What norwood am i? Should I start taking minoxidil?

Please will reward with a few BTC to first 4 who reply...

i d still take pics every months. But like99% of the hair arent miniaturized. I wouldnt do much, if it is getting worse ,you can still go on minoxidil or finasteride or a hair transplant (you have enough hair lol).

You could still go to a doctor and ask for a trichoscan/trichogram to see how healthy your hair are.

Keep the bitcoins, but agree with the others, no sign of male pattern baldness from the photos you've provided.

Consensus declares you have a terrific baseline! So REELAAX my friend for there is zero reward in worrying. Take action and carefully monitor your hair every so often taking pics; of your hair front, top ,and side angles (3-6 months apart ).

Research your future options like you are doing and stop worrying. Once in a while drop by with an update. Best Wishes.

No way you can tell from those pics. If you wanted a diagnosis this early you'd have to see a dermatologist or trichologist and they'd probably be able to give you a diagnosis. But even then there's no way of predicting how severe of fast your hair loss would occur. Definitely don't start minoxidil yet. If you get diagnosed the best thing you could do is go on something like finasteride, or better, though much more expensive and possibly not as reliable, a topical anti-androgen like RU. Then see what results you get and after a year think about minoxidil.

Anyway bitcoins are currently trading at $675 so I'm happy to take a few off you, shall I PM you with my wallet details?
