Hi guys!

Long time reader! first time poster lol
So I was wondering if you guys can give me advice based on the pics? I've always had a high forehead and my temples have always looked like they are receding since i can remember like back in high school n stuff. My dad isnt going bold but has a similiar hair line and my mum has a big forehead so i suppose i got it from her.

Hope to hear what you guys think and what i can do about it

Thanks!~ :)

Re: Am I going bold?

I don't know about bold; that depends on your personality. As for whether you're going bald I'm not sure. In the last picture your hair looks like a norwood 1, but in the others it looks like it's receding/thinning a little bit. If your dad has the same hairline, but isn't bald, then you might be all right. Maybe you should see what your grandad's (on the mother's side) hair is like.

Re: Am I going bold?

in those pictures it looks like your experiencing miniaturization at the hairline

you can notice those smaller hairs at the line

how is your crown?

that would be a better indication to tell if you are actually balding

I think the only way to tell is to take a few pics in a month or so and compare.

You have some minaturised hairs at the hairline, have they developed or always been there?

(Lots of young women have the same thing and they're obviously not balding).

Actually I really can't remember if it's always been like that or
always growing out. If it's always been like that is that a good sign?

Oh also lol to the bold part I'm so stupid

Thinking about i don't think it's been really developing it's kinda just
stayed like that for a while now. Do you think this is a good thing?

Hey man, i think we're kind of similar but I have worse temple recession than you. How long have your hair been like that? If it's like that for more than 3 years, I think it's good. But again, male pattern baldness is very unpredictable, it can hit you suddenly and stop, then happen again. So, good luck and check my post out.

From the pictures - NO. It does not seem to me that you are receding yet. Usually male pattern baldness will attack the crown first or the temple region of the hairline.

Just keep an eye out on it. If you have a family history of male pattern baldness, you are most likely going to get it.

Hasn't his temple region been attacked?

Picture alone...no. Most people will naturally recede as normal. This is part of age. Some people panic because of this and think they are receding. That is why you should always see a specialist to determine if you are receding.

When does recession normally hit guys, is it normal for an early twenty guy to receed? When you say recession of the temples, what exactly do you mean btw?

In my opinion the third and fourth pics definitely show temple recession. You should take some pics of the top of your head and see if you have any thinning in the crown area. People can start going bald at 15 or 60, there is no set age, depends on your genetics.
