Am I Going Bald? (should I See Derm Again)?

Hey I’ve posted on here a couple times recently. I’m gonna make an appointment with the derm asap (obviously everything’s kinda crazy right now). Just wondering should I see a derm or someone else. Just google hair loss specialist? I’ve never been diagnosed with male pattern baldness or been checked for miniaturization. Anyway to the point: I’m 26 (I’m a guy- there’s been some confusion on other threads) and I’ve noticed my left temple pushing back for about a year and a half. In that time I’ve been to the dermatologist several times and the feedback has ranged from “I don’t see anything” to “I see what you’re saying but I would at most classify it as mild temple recession nothing to worry about. If you can’t stop obsessing about it you’re free to put some minoxidil on it but I don’t see a cause for concern.”

I couldn’t stop seeing my hairline push back though. The constant worrying drove me so insane that I got on finasteride about 6 months back just because I was tired of worrying about it. Well.... I’m obviously still worrying about it. So one picture below is the right side of my hairline. Notice that it’s flush and a more or less unbroken curve? Yeah that’s how the left side of my hairline USED to look about a year and a half ago. The other picture below is what it looks like now. Now obviously it’s hard for you guys to know if it’s gotten worse. The pick in the orange shirt is about a month back and it hasn’t changed since then at all.

I guess I’m just looking for some advice or possible explanation as to what’s happening.

(also I’ll just clear this up in advance so I don’t have to answer below. Shedding is normal I believe. I just double check over the sink bowl. Ran my hands through my hair for about thirty seconds. And a hair or two would drop every time I slowly ran my hands through but now more than 1 or 2 at a time (in total at the end there were 6 or 7 hairs in the bowl). My dad has a full head of hair and is 60. My maternal and paternal grandfathers both had hair into their 90’s obviously with diffuse thinning and temple recession but hair on the top of the head forsure. My brother is going bald. He’s 3 years older than me and is pretty far along. But he was showing signs in his early 20’s.)

why is my hairline being munched away over my left temple. Should I drag my *** to the derm or a specialist again? Opinions?

Left temple does look receded quite a bit. It's better if you see another derm or a trichologist.

might be the start of recession. don't stress too much about it. go see your dermatologist and look at available options.

I’m so tired to see hypochondriac people here.
We are in 2020 we need a definitive treatment not bunches of NW0 doubting if they are balding...

Just made an appointment. My only concern is I’ve already been on finasteride like 8-9 months with minoxidil twice a day. I can’t tell if it’s worse better or halted in place.

Come on man you can’t tell me that that doesn’t look like something. And even if it seems relatively minor to you (I’m totally respectful of the fact that people are struggling with this further down than I may be) you’d have to admit that if this was flush two years ago and now it looks like this that has to be something.

Seriously, you have no hair loss at all.
If you aren't trolling, go see a therapist
