i would start taking finasteride. best to catch male pattern baldness early
Do you seriously think that is a thinning crown, or are you just pulling legs? His crown is not thinning, geez. Every crown doesn't have to look like a conventional whorl to fit neatly in your criteria of "not thinning".

His crown is on the left side, and it fans across in a dominant cowlick pattern to the right-downward. Everything has consistent width, he needs to just keep an eye on it.

I have gynceomastia since puberty and my erections and libido are not crazy like every guy in their 20s. So I don't think I am a good candidate for finasteride. I am still thinking about it and may take the plunge and start finasteride soon but not sure about it

Mmm I hope what you are saying is true. I am a diffuse thinner and I always thought my crown is still intact because my mid scalp still has plenty of hair but I was very surprised today when I took the crown picture and started to panic.

Ok dude, its time to put a visit to a a psychologist on high priority for yourself. Body dysphoria disorder seems to set the bill, you're not thinning at the crown. Period.

Dude,
Your fine..
You have lots of hair...
You are concerned about thickness.
It’s true hair can go very fast. We’ve all seen it... But your fine...
You can read all the replies, read all the research & then make your desicions.
You don’t have to listen to me, but I’ll give you five easy suggestions.
1) Get a cheap plastic brush with knobs on end to brush hair when you feel like.. It won’t pull out any hair but will give some circulation to scalp.
2) Research your shampoo/conditioner & get a “natural” one.
3) try supplements... I’ve tried 100’s
Ones I like are Vitamin E (Toconim SupraBio 50 mg) registered by Carotech... clinical study on THIS product.. Thickened hair 47%
4) Dermarolling1.5mm , Roller & Electric Dermapen
5) If your ambitious minoxidil( there are different varieties) Or oral minoxidil which seems to becoming more popular.
Also anti androgens... Could try herbal on Ebay... I use & notice my skin less oily & eliminated completely adult acne. which helps hair retention..
Good Luck!
