I've been having scanty hair ever since I can remember. Recently, in the last 3-4 years my bald spot has gotten bigger

Yes. You could consider FUE as long as you can stabilize it.

You are definitely at risk for shock loss when you are diffuse but if they shave your head and work around the hairs and not overpack, you should be fine.

Not always. In some case, it can be permanent,

If you don't mind a scar, you could do that. However if your donor gets diffuse over time, you scar will show more.

Absolutely diffuse thinning. Have you tried finasteride and minoxidil?
