Am I Crazy For Wanting To Try Avodart? Or Should I Give Propecia More Time

I’m in the US. My derm already offered it to me at one point, think he would prescribe it
Might head over to my derm soon and ask about it. How long were you on finasteride?

Thats great that you have such an understanding derm. In Canada ive legit went to derms that had no idea what the norwood scale is.

I’ve been on like 11 days today
Bro 11 days is not enough. Im nearly 2 months in and am below baseline but even im giving finasteride atleast until the end of 2018.

Oh it’s not too bad I guess. Usually first thing in the morning it feels like my hairs are moving around on my head, usually goes away in the afternoon and then comes back at night. Occassional mild burn.

It’s definitely worse after rogaine is something I’ve noticed...

It’s literally nothing compared to my itch before I started back up on propecia... that was awful, constant scalp crawling and poking sensation which made it impossible to concentrate on anything...
That’s weird, when I use minoxidil it kills the itch for a while

Trust me I’ve spend so many hours looking this stuff up, there are plenty examples of duta causing straight up painful scalp plus or minus a nasty as seb derm. Would be quite awful...

I’m not sure what the best strategy is though... to start low dose like 0.5 eod which leaves the option to increase down the road or to go straight to high dose like 1 or 2 mg everyday. I kind of want to go crazy with 1.5mg everyday and just nuke my libido
It more than likely will, I went 1mg ed for a little bit and my dick wasn’t doing a damn thing and I still had the itch

Maybe it’s because I just started it 11 days ago? I’m guessing its currently making me shed (can’t say for sure as my hair is 1/8in long)
I’ve used some form of minoxidil for almost 20 years and it’s always made my head feel better.

Weird! It seems like they should be inversely correlated

Strange, guess we react differently? The rogain itch isn’t bad unlike my male pattern baldness itch which is terrible

Its way too soon to switch! Stick with finasteride for at least a year. Personally i've read more dutasteride failure than success stories..So watch out. The itch doesn't always mean you're losing more hair you know! It is what it is, simply an itch.

I dunno man... it’s soooo close to being gone, I feel like if I just had alittle bit more dht inhibition I’d be in the clear

Would it be better to do propecia and avodart at the same time at first? Start with mwf or do everyday?

I’m doing finasteride and dutasteride at the same time and I’ve had to decrease my dutasteride to eod bc it seems like everday increases my itch
