Hello Guys. 23 Years old guy here. Everything was fine this year. Until last month when i started to notice that my hair began to recede. This was like a tragic to me as i never actually believe i could go bald. Anyway i became very anxious about it during this month and 3 days ago i decided to cut my hair. And Suddenly i notice how thin my hair has became and parts of my scalp began to show up. The thinning is all over my scalp and i have been having a very burning itchy scalp. I looked up on information and i read that it might be due to Telogen effluvium .

Here are some general information :
My father's side has limited male pattern baldness : He's 68 year old with a 2.5NW i guess and my uncles and their sons don't have any noticable MBP.
Regarding my mother's side : They are exactly like my father's.
Anyway, since December 2017 I started having extreme stress because of some exams and i had stomach pain and anxiety and because of that i started to eat really fast.
As for the diet, i had always been eating junk food. i rarely eat proteins or veggies. Most of what i eat are snacks, french fries and dink a lot lot lot of soda.
One ore thing, i lost exaxtly 4kgs during these 6 months. I'm 6ft1.5. I'm now 158lbs and i was 165lbs. I'm also very very skinny elsewhere except the butt area ( literally all of my fat exists there - and i believe there is some sort of hormonal imbalance).

So here are some pictures i took 2 days ago :

My hair was Thick and dense last year but now My hair become so thin like straw and i can see my scalp.

Could this be due to thyroid, vitamin/mineral deficiencies and hormonal imbalance or just an extreme case of male pattern baldness ?

Can you guys please elaborate in this. Any tips or ideas ??? what should i do ?? Please, this is really frustrating.

Right at this moment : my scalp is still itching:(:(

You're probably one of the rare people thinking they have Telogen Effluvium that actually does. male pattern baldness doesn't typically present like that.

You need to get yourself to a doctor have blood tests and get a proper diagnosis for what is causing your hairloss. It could be Telogen Effluvium, defficiency/ thyroid/ autoimmune related or Diffuse unpatterned alopecia.

Is it just hairloss over your head or have you noticed it over the rest of your body?

Definitely go to a dermatologist. That does not look like male pattern baldness, def something else you need to get under control. Best of luck

Yeah very interesting, seems like you have lost hair uniformly over your entire scalp which is definitely not indicative of male pattern baldness which is a good sign because that makes Telogen Effluvium quite likely which usually grows back just fine.

What Doyle11 said! In the mean time you need to get your diet sorted out and start taking Vitamin D, B6 & B12 and a good mineral supplement.
