Hello everyone, I decided posting here because opinions have been very varied lately. My dermatologist isn't sure if I'm balding or not because they said it's too early to determine such a thing. On the other hand they prescribed me an Alpecin Double Effect and a scalp dermatitis treatment because I had a very mild dermatitis on my scalp (I don't have dermatitis anymore or at least it's not visible anymore thanks to that treatment I used daily). Some of my friends told me they think I have a sligh recession compared to 1 year ago whilst others don't see any difference.
Basically, this all started a few months back when I started noticing my scalp through my hair. Also my hair has become really hard to style. The left side of the top of my hair looks and feels quite thin. I think that my hairline has receded a bit but that might just be a maturing hairline. Also genetically speaking I don't think I am inclined to be bald because nobody in my immediate family tree has gone bald, at least before the age of 50 and that is only my grandfather on father's side whilst my father has just a slight recession and very thick curly hair for a 52 year old. My mother's father has always had a thick set of hair until he died a few years back at 70ish. Sorry if this sounds like I'm being an a*hole or paranoid but I really wanna know if I started having male pattern baldness so I can treat it so I can keep a decent hairline and hair until 30 at least.
Here are some photos so you can visualize what I am talking about:
My hair curly and wet (you can see my scalp) taken 3 weeks ago:
My hair straight and blow dried in a really bad angle where you can see my scalp:
My hair when styled, I can't notice my scalp when it's like this but sides seem a bit receded (taken a few days back):
My hair at its thickest 1 year ago (looks like a bird nest I know haha) :
My hairline:
