Most of them are snake oil. Finasteride, Dutasteride, Spironolacetone are the only ones that work. Finasteride and dutasteride fight the cause of hair loss. spironolactone does too, but it's chemical castration, you'll keep your hair, but turn into a woman. Minoxidil is a growth stimulant, it provides a boost in hair density, but it doesn't fight the cause of hair loss. minoxidil alone won't buy you much time, but combined with finasteride or dutasteride and it's very effective. Everything else is snakeoil.
