Am Confused And Lost On How To Deal With Dht?

Hello, I recently been looking into treatments for hair loss as I've been receding slowly but somewhat gradually on my hairline for the past few years, along with my side temples thinning and receding as well, though I'm holding on to a NW1.5. While I have an idea for regrowth and shampoo (Rogaine and Regenpure), I've been having a hard time for DHT blockers.

I can't get on finasteride as I cannot afford a doctor's appointment (broke college student) and it's hard to really find online pharmacies that aren't sketchy, plus I slightly fear college mailing going through my package or something along those lines. I've heard things about spironolactone/S5 Cream, but I do not know the effectiveness of it due to lack of results and hit or miss receptions. I do not want to try RU as I've heard it is devastating with systematic effects. I'm unsure on what to do and I'm hoping someone has experience with finding a AA. What should I do,

To be honest, there is nothing that comes close to Finasteride or Dutasteride. There are some natural treatments, like Saw Palmetto, that may decrease DHT a bit, but it does not come close to what finasteride or dutasteride do. Plus it may get expensive if you are popping a lot of that.

S5 cream helps a bit, but you have to tackle the problem from the inside.

Are there any free clinics in your area? I am assuming you are in the U.S.? In Canada we don't have to pay for any doctor visits, but I have heard some places in the U.S. have free clinics? I may be mistaken.

Honestly if you can't get on finasteride or RU your only hope is minoxidil. S5 cream doesn't work in like 99% of people and smells terrible. Not what you would wanna smell like going around college. You could try derma rolling or ketoconzole shampoo but again that stuff doesn't work for a majority of people. Inhousepharmacy is a legit website for ordering medicine, I've ordered from them before and so have tons of other people. As far as I know that's the only legit one. As for fear of your college going through your package that's just paranoia. They would need pretty good evidence and intent to search through it. The packages come unmarked anyway so they wouldn't have any suspicion to what it is.

I see, there might be somewhere in the area, but I might have to look into it.

Oh okay, good. Also, another fear of mine with finasteride is that apparently it accelerates frontal hair loss and makes your hairline worse than it already is permanently. Is that true?

It's not true in that it is a fact that you will have accelerated frontal hair loss if you take it. The only fact is that everyone responds differently to finasteride. Some people are great responders to it while others aren't; its luck of the draw based on your genetics. My brothers has had great results with it and has been taking it for years with no problem. I on the other hand had terrible results and side effects so I stopped. There's no way to tell how you'll respond until you take it.
