Alternative to hair spray for Toppik?

Hi,

I use Toppik regularly but was wondering how important it is to, as they say on the box, 'secure' it in place with hair spray? Is there any alternative to this? Or is there a specific amount of hair spray that would do the trick?

I just feel a little uncomfortable always having hair spray in my hair. People must wonder, "Dude, do you ever dress down? Why is there always massive amounts of gel and spray in your hair?" LOL. I can't really even sit in front of the TV without looking like I'm ready to go clubbing!

So how important, really, is hair spray to this product? Will the Toppik just fall out if I don't 'secure' it with something? How do you guys wear it?

I dont think hairspray is really neccessary its just a recommended precaution to give maximum hold. I use nanogen (same type of thing) and dont use hairspray the fibres stay in place.
