Some women also are balding and have androgenetic alopecia, because the sensitivity their hair follicles is so strong that sufficient are very low levels of androgens to cause balding. It's very rare but it's possible. Not only DHT is cause of balding but also T and all other androgens even at the low levels, unfortunately in that case, if the genetic sensitivity of hair follicles is very very strong.
Only the strongest anti-androgens, estrogens, and other strong meds (used for chemical castration and inhibitors of enzyme CYP 17 A1) will be able to help in that case.
In my country I heard about the women treated with these meds but that practise isn't used too often. But some hope always exists.
