Hi all,
I am new here and very happy to be here. I was diagnosed with the above in October of 2007 after a scalp biopsy was performed. My hair is thin all over the top and sides. The alopecia is hard to treat because it is the diffuse type. The Dr. gave me a steroid shot in the hip. I have not seen results. I just started putting the topical steroid called luxiq all over my head as well.
Then there is the FDS (above) which is scarring alopecia and there is supposedly no cure for it. The hair follicles burn themselves out?? I am so lost and devastated. I did the blood work and it's fine. I don't know what else to think or say.....
I wonder if anyone of you are experiencing what I have or one of the two. I could really use some advice.
